Founder
DeckCor started from a genuine passion for working with timber and building things that are both practical and well made. I’ve always enjoyed taking raw materials and turning them into something solid, useful, and long-lasting that people can actually enjoy in their everyday lives.
I grew up in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and attended Stellenbosch High School. Over the years, timber has been a constant part of my life, and I’ve now been working in the trade for more than 22 years.
Before starting DeckCor, I also built and ran a timber manufacturing business focused on pet products. What began as a small operation grew into a successful manufacturing and supply company, with products distributed to pet shops across the Western Cape. I later sold that business in order to fully focus on larger timber construction and outdoor living projects.
Today, DeckCor is the result of that journey. I’ve been fortunate to work on a wide range of projects across Cape Town and surrounding areas, from custom decking and pergolas to balustrades, staircases, and other timber structures.
For me, this work is still very hands-on. I stay involved in each project from start to finish because I believe details matter, and because I want clients to know exactly who they are dealing with. When someone invites us to work on their home, it’s personal—and I treat it that way.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to build timber structures that are strong, neat, and built with care—work I would be comfortable having in my own home.

Over the years, we have had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects throughout Cape Town and the Western Cape, including areas such as Clifton, Hout Bay, Durbanville, Paarl, Melkbosstrand, Stellenbosch, Langebaan, Kleinmond, and Worcester. Our experience has also extended beyond South Africa’s borders, with projects completed in Namibia. This broad portfolio has allowed us to develop a deep understanding of the unique environmental conditions and architectural styles found across the region.
